Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the year 2003/2004 is $11,984 and it includes
activity fees for single-day school trips, art materials,
books and social activities. It does not include expenses
for extended outings (such as field trips lasting more
than one day), or art supplies for independent projects.
In addition, the school is in the process of developing
a tuition insurance plan. This plan acknowledges the myriad
factors that can influence a family's (and student's)
decision to enroll in a high school. In the unlikely event
that a student does not complete the academic year, the
tuition insurance plan will help protect your financial
commitment to the school. Specific information regarding
this plan will be available in the enrollment contract.
Admissions Policies and Procedures
As parents, you should arrange for a visit to the school with your child, by calling the High School Administrator during school hours (8:00 am - 3:30 pm).
You should submit the enclosed application forms with a $50.00 non-refundable application fee and previous school records. To enable us to connect names with faces, please enclose a recent photograph of the student.
We will confirm receipt of your application, and beginning in January, the High School Administrator will arrange an interview with you and your child.
You will be notified of our decision by mail within one month of the interview.
To enroll, you will need to complete the enrollment contract and submit it with a $100 non-refundable enrollment fee within two weeks of receipt. This will ensure your place in the school.
Tuition adjustment may be applied for after the enrollment contract has been received by the school. Tuition adjustment forms should then be completed and submitted by May 1. If you are unsure whether you are qualified to apply, please talk to a member of the Tuition Adjustment Committee.
All new enrollments are conditional for 10 weeks in order to allow time for adequate observation of the student and to determine whether our school can meet his or her needs.
Parents should be in agreement with and supportive of the school's philosophy and understand the basic tenets of Waldorf education. For your student to gain the most benefit from his or her education, it is important that you support the work teachers are doing at school.
Our school is designed to meet the needs of students with a moderate range of developmental needs. We are happy to meet with families to assess whether we are able to meet the needs of any children with special requirements.
The Lake Champlain Waldorf High School seeks to develop a culturally and economically diverse student body. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or national origin in its admissions policies, or in the conduct of educational, recreational, athletic or scholarship programs.
