Development
Development at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School centers around community building. Several annual events help the school interface with the larger community and, in the preparations, bring together parents and staff.
At the Annual Holiday Festival, the first Saturday in December, the classrooms and halls of buildings are transformed to create a warm, old-fashioned atmosphere of festivity for child and adult alike.
The annual Spring Concert features the collaboration of the fifth through eighth chorus and orchestra with the adult group, the LCWS Community Singers, and local musicians. An evening concert is coupled with an extraordinary dinner, held at the nearby Shelburne Farms Coach Barn. An afternoon concert is held so that children can enjoy the high quality classical performances.
The proceeds from these events, from a November Wreath Sale and from the Annual Appeal enable the Lake Champlain Waldorf School to keep its tuition as low as possible and to offer generous financial assistance.
